Jane Wilkinson

Willow work, combining fine basketry techniques with the practicalities of hurdle making to produce woven structures which are both beautiful and functional. Jane specialises in large-scale outdoor works (examples include a 200-foot long screen with wave-shaped patterns, Wendy houses and playhouses, and decorative fencing) along with traditional basketry, and courses. As well as hazel, willow and hedgerow species Jane uses chestnut stakes for uprights in hurdle making. She also makes baskets and runs courses.
